Hey I’m Ian,

I’m a Melbourne Wedding Photographer, but more accurately, I’m a Storyteller. In an age of iPhones and digital cameras, just about anyone can take a photograph. But on a day as important as your wedding, my skill lies in the ability to document the moments that your Uncle John doesn’t have an eye for.

I’ve spent the last 15 years capturing raw emotion and preserving authentic moments that may otherwise become a distant memory. It takes a fine balance between anticipation, patience and timing.

I’m candid in my photography style but also provide direction and guidance when the moment calls for it, so you have nothing to worry about! I’m detail oriented, which means for me, the little things are just as important as the big ones. I’ll take the time to understand what’s important to you and put effort into capturing your wedding as if it were my own.

If you’re nervous about being photographed, guess what, so am I! That’s completely normal. Beyond the technical side of photography, if there’s one skill I’ve learnt to master, it’s helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera. How do I do it? I put myself in your shoes. I read the room. I help you feel comfortable speaking up when something doesn’t feel right for you. I would never have you do anything I wouldn’t do myself, and if we try something that doesn’t look right, I’ll be the first to tell you and make it better.
