MY STORY…
Ditching The Suit
My story to becoming a Wedding Photographer is a little different. I first worked as an Internal Auditor (the guy who reports on whether you’re doing your job correctly) and within a couple of years, I realised that the corporate world was not where I wanted to be. I left to do something creative that motivated and made me happy - photography.
“Do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life”
I’ve now been working as a full-time photographer for over 13 years and I absolutely love it. Some wedding day coverage can last up to 15 to 16 hours but I find it so much more enjoyable than a 9 to 5 corporate job. Guess the saying is true…

IAN COOMAR
As my name suggests, I’m a mix of cultures. I’m born and raised in Melbourne, Australia but I am of Sri Lankan descent.
Sweet Gains
When I’m not holding a camera, you will probably find me with a dumbbell in one hand and some sort of cake or chocolate or ice cream in the other…
because life is about balance.
Take Half A Step To Your Left…
I’m a bit of a perfectionist but when it comes to something like photography on a day as important as your wedding, that tends to be a good thing!
